Dr. Nishit Pandya received his Diploma and Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering in 1998 and 2001, from Gujarat University, India. He later received a Masters degree in 'Satellite Communication' and a PhD in 'Communications Technology' both from Lancaster University (UK) in 2004 and 2008 respectively. He started his professional career training with Space Applications Centre (ISRO). He then worked as Project Engineer/Leader at e-Infochips Inc. in India as well as United States. Later received his research degrees from UK and continued working as a Research Associate with the Dept. of Communications Systems at Lancaster University.

In his research career spanning 5 years, he has presented papers in many national and international conferences. And his work has been published in many international journals like the European Space Agency (ESA) Journal, IEE, IET, IEEE-Communications letters etc. His prime contribution has been in the area of Coding and Modulation, Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-S2/T2) and TETRA Mobile Standard. He also shares a very keen interest in satellite communications and space engineering. He has worked on research projects with companies like BBC Research-UK, CISCO Systems-USA, Thales-France, HW Communications-UK, Rohde & Schwarz-Germany to name a few. In addition to this, Dr. Pandya has contributed significantly in the development and standardization of the TETRA professional mobile standards by ETSI, which is used widely in Europe.

Since April-2008, Dr. Pandya is permanently resident in Ahmedabad and is working as a founding member of 'NTICE Technologies', an Ahmedabad based technology venture that deals in Advanced Technology Research and its implementation.
